Having Fun at Christmas

Christmas is such an amazing time of year.  Between the hustle and bustle, sometimes we have to stop and look at what's right in front of us and be in the moment.
I took some time to truly stop and admire our tree and think about nothing but the tree.  In that moment, I picked up the camera and was able to get a couple of fun shots of tree.  Not only was I fully present in the moment, I was able to fully admire our cute tree.  :)

Finding Direction

So I have finally decided to take a passion of mine and turn it into a career.  I have loved photography since I was a small child.  From watching slides of photos my father took to owning my own camera at a very young age, photography has been a part of me for as long as I can remember.
Part of growing up is trying to find direction, and somehow, I have overlooked my passion for far too long.  I guess if it's fun, it's not really work is it?  Well, my mindset has changed and I am pursuing a career in portrait photography.  What took me so long?  :)  As of now, I am building my portfolio and looking for new subjects to bulk up my website, which you can view here at www.erinbuxtonphotography.com
